The DoubleTree Hotel is located at 191 N. Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, California 91101. Telephone (626) 792-2727 to make reservations (or FAX 626.795.7669).

RATES:

The Hotel has confirmed special group room rates of $125.00 single/double occupancy.

Please note that confirmed rates do not include sales tax which is currently 12.11% and subject to change without notice, as well as the California Tourism tax of .005%. Room rates are net, non-commissionable and do not include housing or transportation rebates unless otherwise noted.

RESERVATIONS:

The DoubleTree Hotel understands that each individual will be responsible for making his or her own reservations. Individuals may do so by writing or calling the Hotel's Reservations Department directly at (626) 792-2727 or DoubleTree Central Reservations at 800/222-TREE and identifying that the individual is attending the DET/CHE Conference. The Hotel requires that all reservations be received on or before November 9, 1999. After the cut off date, all unreserved rooms will revert to their general rooms inventory and confirmed on a space and rate availability basis. It is important to note that the negotiated group rate is not available after the cut off date.

GUARANTEE POLICY:

The DoubleTree requests that all reservations be guaranteed with a deposit equivalent to one night's room and tax, or the guarantee of same by a major credit card. There will be no guest room cancellation fee for individual reservations cancelled by 72 hours prior to the schedules day of arrival. If individual guaranteed reservations are NOT cancelled 72 hours prior, the first night's room and tax will be charged on the night of scheduled arrival.

GUEST ROOM CHECK-IN TIME:

Check-in time is 3:00 P.M. If your schedule requires an early check-in time, please advise the Hotel. They will make every effort to honor your request. However, they cannot guarantee an early check-in. They will provide luggage storage in the event rooms are not available earlier.

GUEST ROOM CHECK-OUT TIME:

Check-out time is 12 Noon. Arrangements can be made for baggage storage beyond 12 Noon.

Payment by Credit Card: The Hotel accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Diner's Club, Master Card, or VISA. The Hotel understands that all room, tax, and incidental charges will be the responsibility of the individual and not that of DET/CHE.

AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT:

Although the DoubleTree Hotel has audio/visual equipment available for rental, as well as the assistance of "an excellent audio visual staff on property for prompt service," nevertheless, DET/CHE members should first check with the Conference Local Planning Committee via Scott Clark and Dr. Mike Peshkam for on-site help with audio/visual needs.
