Facilitating Online Course Development with Collaboration, Financial Support, and Time

Session Description: The Collaborative Online Learning & Teaching program (COLT) is an experimental faculty development initiative that supports efforts to develop, implement, and assess online course instruction at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. The program's objective is to increase the number of online courses by providing training in online pedagogy, an arena for collaboration with colleagues, financial support, and time. Faculty participated as students in a totally online course about online teaching and learning. We'll look at the faculty perspective for this pedagogical method, examine course materials and "student" individual multimedia and collaborative projects, discussions,and resources.
