DET/CHE Twentieth Annual Conference

The Directors of Educational Technology in California Higher Education (DET/CHE) Conference will return to the founding location at the University of California Riverside Pentland Hills Conference Center and the fabulous Mission Inn.

DET/CHE is a dynamic organization providing professional growth for its membership. The group is a major force in bringing together public and private colleges and universities to share ideas and advance the fields of instructional technology, multimedia, and open learning. The members are interested, professionally and personally, in innovative applications of technology to support learning and teaching.

Please mark your calendars for this historic conference. Come prepared to renew acquaintances, be energized by presentations on current "best practices," and learn about the latest trends in educational technology.

Conference Registration

You can now register for the conference online! If you are already a DET/CHE member you will be given the option to renew your membership at the time of registration. If you are not a member and wish to become one, you will be given the option to become a new member.

For members:

• Early–bird discount (before Oct. 28^th) — $275
• Regular rate — $325

For non–members:

• Early–bird discount (before Oct. 28^th) — $325
• Regular rate — $350

Parking

Parking is available both at UC Riverside and the Mission Inn. However, the parking at UC Riverside is more expensive and it is quite a distance from the Pentland Hills Conference Center. We recommend that you park at the Mission Inn and take advantage of the shuttle service we are providing from there, which will drop you off at the Conference Center. Prices for parking at the university are listed below.

• Daily: $6 (Valid only in Lot 30 and yellow painted spaces in Lot 13 GOLD)
• Weekend/Evening (after 4 PM): $5 (Valid in all lots except housing. Not valid in metered, reserved and handicap spaces.)
• Motorcycle Daily: $6 (Same as regular Daily permits)

There are a couple of kiosks for purchasing parking permits at UC Riverside should you choose to park there:

• University Kiosk is located off of West Campus Drive. From the 60 Freeway, exit off of University Ave.
  • Make a left- Right onto West Campus. Guests will see a very small building (box almost) on the right hand side. Cars can pull up to it.
  • Hours of Operation (M – Sat, 7:00am – 8:00pm, Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm.
• Canyon Crest Kiosk is located off of Canyon Crest Drive.
  • From the 60 Freeway, exit Martin Luther King–Merge to the right– Make a right on Canyon Crest Drive . Guests will see another small building located on the right side. Cars can pull up to it or park along side it. (There are parking spaces at this one. The area is much larger.)
  • Hours of operation: M – F, 7:00am – 3:00pm. Sat and Sun closed.

Hotel

Conference participants are invited to stay at the beautiful Mission Inn, Riverside. Make your hotel reservation by October 28^th to receive the DET/CHE price of $99 a night (regularly $300 a night). See the DET/CHE Hotel page for more information.
